Algebra Realty is a real
estate company that has its
roots in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil. Over 30 years ago, one
of its founding partners, Jose
Augusto, enginering student,
started in the real estate
business as a young Boy Scout
selling lots as a part time
job during weekends and summer
vacations in a rural area of
Rio Janeiro. By the late
1970s, he decided to open his
own building and real estate
firm in Rio de Janeiro and in
the 1980s married Nadir, an
architect who also became his
main business partner.
Interested in expanding into
international real estate
operations, the architect
Nadir and the enginer Jose
Augusto began representing
three large Florida developers
in Brazil:
Coscan at Waterways, Lennar
Homes and Pacific
International Equity, due to
the high demand for Florida
housing by the Brazilian
market.
